The word 'paraben' may sound more like a story you read somewhere...hang on, that's a parable. Or could it be that strong-smelling liquid that's used for lamps and in wax? No, that's paraffin. But paraben is a word that's becoming commonly heard these days, especially in relation to paraben-free skincare products.
Think about it; skincare products used to comprise the odd face cream and shaving cream in your bathroom shelf not so long ago. But its only now when they have been discovered in breast cancer tumours, and in body fluids that the question of paraben-free skincare products has become important.
It isn't hard to see why they are there in your bodies. We apply skincare products on all parts of the body, and since that includes shampoos and conditioners, that means your hair is involved as well. With the kind of interest we all feel in our continued good health, it's pretty easy to see why paraben-free skincare products are becoming more popular. Commercial manufacturers of cosmetics now appear more and more like villains, and ones wearing oily smiles at that!
