When you invite your child’s friends to your son or daughter’s birthday party, it is always a nice idea to invite the parents as well. Unfortunately, even the most enjoyable children’s birthday party can be a tedious and excruciatingly boring experience for the parents and adults that are present. Without some kind of entertainment present, the older folks at a party may quickly turn to drinking, sports or other activities that do not involve being with the children at all. Sure, there are ways to avoid this – you can have the children’s birthday party at someplace like a park or at Disneyland, but taking a large group of people to either destination can be a costly endeavor. However, there is one thing you can do that is rather inexpensive but is sure to get everyone’s attention (if only for a little while) – you could hire a clown.
For years now, the clown birthday party has been the highlight of many children’s lives. They will look back and always remember that year that a clown came to their birthday party. Of course, hiring a clown that is highly skilled in the art of balloon animals, face painting and telling comical jokes should be at the top of your list otherwise the party could end in disaster if the clown is not all he or she is cracked up to be. Furthermore, you should hire a clown that will be able to entertain all of the adult guests as well as the children. Perhaps a clown that can not only do face painting but can also delve into a few magic tricks may be what you need. Unfortunately, clowns that are as multi talented as this may end up costing you a bit more in the long run – but after all, isn’t it worth it to ensure that all of your guests are content? Your local clown rentals or party stores should be able to give you the lowdown on how much different clowns will end up costing you for an hour or two.
Now, there is another, more interesting way to go about having a clown party. You could always dress yourself up as a clown and save a few hundred dollars. As well all know, hiring anyone in this day and age is not exactly cheap, so if you can pick yourself up a clown costume, learn a few tricks and buy some clown supplies at your local party shop (or Clown College), you will be all set to entertain your children and their guests at the next birthday party. While it will not be as expensive as hiring a clown to come to your child’s party, it should be noted that making yourself look like a clown can cost quite a bit of money – but having all of the necessary accessories for the outfit will be well worth the cost.
So, what should you purchase if you want to turn yourself into a clown for your child’s next birthday party? Obviously you should start with the essentials. A clown nose comes to mind as the first thing you will need, along with a selection of clown makeup that you can use to paint your face white. Next, you should consider picking up one or two clown shirts that you can wear. These are the shirts that are somewhat shaped like a bucket and made of soft, polyester material for easy movement. Be sure to buy some pants to go with them as well so that you can ensure that your outfit matches properly. Finally, you do not want to forget to pick up some clown wigs – not just for yourself but for all of the children that are in attendance as well so that you can give them the total clown experience.
