An idea that is fun and doubles as useful is a cookie sheet and candy heart magnets. This is an especially good idea if you are or just have moved to a new home, gotten married and need kitchen items, etc. First you need to find the magnets at your local store that look like candy hearts- you know, the ones that come in different colors and have cute little messages on them. Next, find a cookie sheet that is large enough to stick all the magnets to it but not so large that is looks bare even with the magnets on it. Lastly, take time to arrange the magnets into sweet sentences and phrases, telling your Valentine how much you love them. When it is all said and done with, you will have a new cookie sheet to bake with and also remind you of this special moment.
Another easy idea is to buy a funnel a package of chocolate chips. Melt the chocolate and then pour into the funnel. Leave upside down until completely solid. When you turn it over you have a very large Kiss. Wrap in foil and tuck a piece of paper that is 4 inches long and 1 inch wide into the top of the foil. On this piece of paper, have either written or typed a sweet message to your loved one. Although the candy will be eaten, this piece of paper will serve as an everlasting reminder that can be placed in a scrapbook or hope chest.
Homemade gifts are both inexpensive and fun. They provide a personal touch that store bought valentine gift just can't match. Have fun making the items and make special memories at the same time.
