Technology has made it possible for one to test not only his computer skills but his creative skills as well. With the right software like Print Master, you can design and print customized or traditional cards such as a business card on your computer. Here’s how:
Step 1: Open preferred software
In this case, choose Print Master from your computer’s list of programs.
Step 2: On the menu selection (located at the topmost part), click “File” then “New”.
Step 3: Open “Tools”, choose “Envelopes and Labels” and click on “Options”
Step 4: Make sure that Avery Standard is selected in the “Product Type” menu
Step 5: Since you’re making a business card, choose “3612 – Business Card” in the “Product number” selection. Click OK.
Step 6: Choose “New Document”. A template for a business card will appear. Check the margins and see if these are just right.
Step 7: If you want to include a picture, click “Insert” and then browse your computer files for the picture, logo or icon you want to place on your business card. Adjust it accordingly.
Step 8: Next, choose your desired font type and size. Type the text you want to place on your card. For instance, you may want to use a larger font for your name and a smaller type for your address and contact information (email address, office address, fax number, mobile phone number etc).
Step 9: Once you’re done designing your card, you can preview it by clicking on the “Print Preview” command from the “File” menu.
Step 10: If everything looks perfect, then your card is ready for printing. However, if you need to do some adjustments, go ahead and edit!
Step 11: Save your design in the appropriate directory.
Step 12: Turn your printer on and load it up with thick, board paper fit for business cards. Don’t forget to check if your printer has enough ink!
Step 13: Look for the “Print” icon on the toolbar. Press it once. Alternatively, you can also click on “File” from the menu selection. Scroll down then choose “Print”. Your cards will then be printed.
As you can see, printing cards on your computer is pretty easy. It’s also economical and shows your ingenuity. Why not try doing this today?
